On Tuesday, June 12, voters in Virginia will head to the polls.
In State Assembly District 42, candidates on the ballot include Democrat Ann Groves Lloyd and Republican Jon Plumer.
This office is now held by Republican Robert Wittman.
Voters in five states will cast ballots in primaries today.
It's an incredibly confusing primary with six Democrats competing for the chance to run against the Republican incumbent.

Heller was a past critic of the president but has become closer to him in recent months and helped deliver the overhaul of the US tax codes to Trump's desk in December. He has previously served as Virginia governor, lieutenant governor and chair of the Democratic National Committee. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.), and state Sen. He is running unopposed in the Democratic primary.
State Senator Jennifer Wexton, the apparent frontrunner and only state officeholder in the primary, was motivated to take on Trump after seeing increased turnout at her town halls after Trump took office. Two Republicans are vying for the nomination: Ryan McAdams and Shion Fenty.
Friedman, who said she made a decision to run for office in part because Trump "scared my kids", said potential Democrat-led impeachment proceedings in the House would be "one of the most serious moments in our nation's history", but wouldn't commit to voting for impeachment without reviewing any impeachment articles.
