Fallout 76 - Everything You Need to Know

Announced earlier this month by Bethesda, Fallout 76 takes place in the Shenandoah Valley, putting players in the shoes of a survivor from Vault 76, emerging from the relative security of the vault to fearless the post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland and rebuild society.

Fallout from the announced release of the "Fallout 76" West Virginia-based video game is driving record traffic to West Virginia Explorer, according to its publisher.

We'll have a trailer up as soon as possible. You cannot only build homes like you could in Fallout 4, but also work together and share them to.well, hang out like pictured above. The game can be played alone, but you'll also be able to team up with a group of friends or strangers to traverse West Virginia.

As well as big new games, Bethesda also used the event to show off new content for some of its existing games.

Crafted from in-game 3D models, these detailed miniatures bring Fallout 76's Vault Dwellers, Power Armored Soldiers, Creatures, and more to life. Furthermore, there will be a special Fallout 76: Power Armor Edition that comes with a map that "glows in the fucken dark". All of your progression apparently goes with you, which again, raises questions about the persistence of base-building and the impact of nuclear missiles on the overall game. Not only is it going to be the largest Fallout game yet, it will be a completely online multiplayer game. "And you can pack up and move that wherever you want", Director of Bethesda Game Studios Todd Howard said. Todd Howard did mention that there will be a single player option, but he didn't really go more into detail about it. Furthermore, the game will get a beta before its launch. It may sound like a stupidly small nitpick, but in the Fallout 4 universe, apparently everyone is perfectly happy to live in homes with partial roofs and a few planks nailed sideways constitute a wall.

Will there be a Fallout 76 Beta?

Very disappointing news. Fallout 76 will be released on November 14th. To get notified when the $199.99 Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition for PC is back again for pre-order, get the free online inventory tracking app The Tracker.

On a amusing note, McElroy, who had needled the game's designer Todd Howard recently on social media about targeting West Virginia because of past Polygon press from he and fellow former Polygon writer Griffin McElroy, said he hopes his house survives the "fallout" of the new game that is set to be released this fall.

If you buy the digital version of Fallout 76, you'll be able avoid damage to a disc and cut down on the clutter around your entertainment center.
