Barcelona are not leaving anything to chance when it comes to their desire to sign Willian from Chelsea this summer.

Spanish champions Barcelona are now said to be looking for the signature of Chelsea and Brazil global Willian before the start of the 2018/19 La Liga season.

A Brazilian star, who represented the Selecao at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, has reportedly agreed terms on a move to Spanish giants FC Barcelona.

The Red Devils have been linked with the Chelsea winger for a number of years, with Jose Mourinho known to be a huge admirer having worked with him during his second spell in charge at Stamford Bridge.

Willian will not come cheap as Chelsea have the 29-year-old under contract until 2020.

In case you've been living under a rock, you'll be well aware of his feud with manager Antonio Conte, who may well be set to stay in Stamford Bridge against all odds.

Willian has been linked with a transfer to Old Trafford for several months, but his focus was exclusively on Brazil's World Cup campaign since the end of the club season.

Could Lionel Messi put a halt to Manchester United's plans to sign Willian from Chelsea?

According to Winters, Barca are keen on signing Willian to add further attacking flair to their squad after club stalwart Andres Iniesta's departure. The Brazil worldwide has been heavily tipped to leave Stamford Bridge since the close of the campaign and according to The Sun, they are prepared to beat Barcelona to the player's services. The Blaugrana will attempt to persuade Chelsea to sell the Brazilian by including Andre Gomes - a transfer target for Tottenham - in a player-plus-cash deal.
