Demi Lovato treated with Narcan after apparent overdose, ABC News confirms

Demi Lovato's ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, has been photographed rushing to her hospital bedside following her overdose.

"No sirens please, right?" the friend asked, but was told that wasn't possible. "I don't have any control over that", the dispatcher then informs the caller.

A recording of the 911 call - obtained by - hears a female talk with the 911 operator.

"I knew that I had a lot of life ahead of me, but one of the main reasons of getting sober was so that I could be around my little sister because my mom and dad (said I couldn't be around her) if I was doing stuff", she said.

The pop superstar was reportedly found unresponsive in her Hollywood Hills home Tuesday after an apparent overdose. "We just need to get somebody out here", the woman calmly responds. TMZ was the first to report that Lovato had been hospitalized for a drug overdose, based on its sources, and other outlets including People magazine also reported that her hospitalization based on sources. Moreover, her mental health struggles make it especially hard for her.

Reportedly, the medical professionals had to treat her with an anti-overdose drug called, Narcan.

Lovato was supposed to appear on the Tuesday night episode of the Fox game show "Beat Shazam", which is hosted by Jamie Foxx, but a network spokesperson said the show would air a different episode in its place "in light of recent reports". "This is obviously a huge wake-up call", a source told the publication.

Lovato released a single in June called "Sober" in which she revealed she had relapsed after six years of sobriety.

CBS News reported that just two days earlier at a concert in California, Lovato had trouble remembering the lyrics to her emotional ballad "Sober" and walked off stage.

The Disney star has previously sought treatment for her addictions to alcohol, cocaine and OxyContin, most famously in 2010 after punching a backup dancer while on tour with the Jonas Brothers. That same day, her rep released a statement, saying, "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support".
