Moreover, her mental health struggles make it especially hard for her.
Reportedly, the medical professionals had to treat her with an anti-overdose drug called, Narcan.
Lovato was supposed to appear on the Tuesday night episode of the Fox game show "Beat Shazam", which is hosted by Jamie Foxx, but a network spokesperson said the show would air a different episode in its place "in light of recent reports". "This is obviously a huge wake-up call", a source told the publication.
CBS News reported that just two days earlier at a concert in California, Lovato had trouble remembering the lyrics to her emotional ballad "Sober" and walked off stage.
The Disney star has previously sought treatment for her addictions to alcohol, cocaine and OxyContin, most famously in 2010 after punching a backup dancer while on tour with the Jonas Brothers. That same day, her rep released a statement, saying, "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support".
