New Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has expressed that he is not happy with the fact that Willian failed to return to the club on the scheduled day after the FIFA World Cup.
The under-17 World Cup victor, who played the full 90 minutes in England's 5-2 win over Spain in the final, also endeared himself to Blues supporters after the game with a great gesture.
'I only let him go once he had signed a contract which stated he would not be allowed to sign any of our players - apart from Jorginho, ' De Laurentiis said of Sarri, according to the London Evening Standard.
"I don't know him", he told beIN Sports.
With Gonzalo Higuain expected to join AC Milan on loan from Juventus, unsettled club-record signing Álvaro Morata looks set to remain as Chelsea's first choice up front. And it's not only that, it appears that he will continue to be a part of Sarri's first team plans when the upcoming Premier League season kicks off on August 11. "He will stay with us for all the season", he said.
It's very important. They were champions last season and played well.
Jose Mourinho is also keen on the forward to solve his right-wing problem and knows all about the player having coached him whilst in charge of Chelsea.
Willian also now faces a delayed re-integration back into the side, who face Manchester City in the Community Shield on Sunday.
