During the interview, James also discussed a new school he has opened for underprivileged children in his home town in OH, which offers free meals and bikes to students, as well as job placement assistance for parents and an on-site food bank. But facts don't seem to bother this President.
Trumps tweeted: "Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon". LeBron James is a beloved athlete using his wealth and resources to make the world a better place, aka everything that Trump stands against. And sports has never been something that divided people.
Barnes was on the "Lunchtime with Roggin and Rodney" show on "AM 570 LA Sports" show Friday and talked about that play - and how it made him a Laker the next season. Jordan's now his guy. Stick to sports, so to say.
On a separate airing of "CNN Tonight", Lemon said that Trump's presidency "can be defined by lies".
Early Saturday afternoon ― when public controversy over Trump's tweet had been raging for hours ― James sent out a tweet of his own, but not one directly aimed at Trump.
He's dividing us, and what I've noticed over the last few months is that he's kind of used sport to kind of divide us. I'm not his friend, though. "It's always been something that brings someone together".
Last September he called Trump a "bum" after the president appeared to disinvite the National Basketball Association championship-winning Golden State Warriors from a traditional White House visit because one of their stars, Stephen Curry, criticised Trump.
"No. I'd sit across from Barack, though", he said.
Thousands of Twitter users have responded for James after Trump's Twitter slam.
"Who's the real dummy?", the CNN anchor tweeted Saturday. James wrote on Twitter. Trump puts children in cages, ' his colleague Joseph Flynn wrote.
"Can't believe it!" Trump tweeted in July.
And so, a miffed Trump fired back.
The tweet was referring to an unverified story that Trump was recently angry after discovering that his wife's TV on Air Force One was set to CNN. Maybe he did some more planning on the I Promise School.
