Bollywood's first family, the Kapoors bid a final farewell to Krishna Raj Kapoor who died on Monday of a cardiac arrest. Krishna married Raj Kapoor in May 1946, is survived by her sons Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor, and daughters Ritu Nanda and Rima Kapoor-Jain. According to reports, Krishna Raj Kapoor passed away at around 4 am from a cardiac arrest.

It was during the Christmas brunch when Krishna Raj Kapoor was featured with her family members for the last time.

Meanwhile, celebrities like Kajol, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor and others immediately rushed to Kapoor's ancestor house in Chembur in order to pay their last respects. If we look at the passionate affairs that Raj Kapoor had right under his wife's aquiline nose, then yes, she could be seen to be passive and docile. Love you. May your soul RIP and deepest condolences to Rishi Kapoor and family.

But a family friend who knew the couple very closely says there was a valid reason for Mrs Raj Kapoor's acquiescence. Her sister Uma is married to veteran actor Prem Chopra.

From Aamir Khan to Karan Johar, many Bollywood celebs mourned the death of their beloved Krishna aunty on social media. Salman Khan had also tweeted saying he and his mother will miss her. May her soul rest in peace. The veteran actor recently went to the United States for medical treatment. Krishna Raj Kapoor has always had a silent but strong presence in the industry as she never demanded but commanded respect from the rest of the fraternity.
