She is gearing up for her own "Black Widow" solo movie, and is getting a whopping amount as remuneration.

The news comes as it's reported that Scarlett Johansson has signed a hefty $15 million to front the first Black Widow standalone film. The actress will reportedly earn $15 million, which is what Chris Evans (Captain America) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) got for "Avengers: Infinity War" and their standalone movies.

Perhaps now with The Avengers 4 finishing filming, Marvel Studiso will reveal the title, which is something fans have been anticipating since prior to the release of Infinity War.

For comparison, Robert Downey Jr earned only $500,000 for the first Iron Man film in 2008, when his career was in a very different place. Chadwick Boseman is believed to have been paid about $2 million for Black Panther, but his salary is likely be substantially hiked for the sequel, the publication said.

Disney also lists Incredibles 2 - another box office behemoth - as the third film they will be pushing for the Oscars. A Marvel spokesperson says the company "disputes the accuracy of these numbers", but it never publicly discloses salaries.

Just last week, Evans appeared to retire from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel chief Kevin Feige said previously the promotions for Avengers 4 would begin after the studio dropped its first look of Captain Marvel, which arrived mid-September. According to the Hollywood Reporter, fans are scheming that is could be Captain America, since Chris Evan is retiring from the role. A brief glimpse of Captain America's white suit can also be seen to the lower right of the image.
