Pippa Middleton, the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, has given birth to a boy.

The Duchess of Cambridge has become an aunt after her sister, Pippa Matthews, gave birth to a baby boy on Monday, 15 October.

Pippa Middleton and James Matthews welcome their first child. "Everyone is delighted and mother and baby are doing well", the statement read.

Pippa was dubbed "her royal hotness" after wearing a slinky, white dress to older sister Catherine's royal wedding in 2011 where she was a bridesmaid. Despite being nine months pregnant, she slipped into a chic pair of heels, topping off the look with a wide-brimmed green hat.

It was Pippa's second Royal Wedding of the year, after she attended The Duke and Duchess of Sussex's nuptials in May.

Swimming has been a major outlet for fitness fanatic Pippa throughout her pregnancy, during which she had to tone down her "five-day-a-week [exercise] routine". As a result, one of the biggest changes is that my lower body has tightened up.

An onlooker said hedge fund manager James went home briefly on Monday night to walk the couple's dogs before returning to the hospital.

Those who choose the prestigious location to give birth need spare no expense on their bub's arrival - with rooms at the Lindo Wing starting at a whopping, $11,000 a night.
