The Duchess of Sussex said the education of women and girls in developing countries was "vital" in her first speech of the royal tour.

Julianne, Ebony and and Lily Reid gave Meghan a home-made baby changing mat, with Harry asking if it had koalas on.

However, after spending some much-needed time chilling out at the Kingfisher Bay resort on Fraser Island, Meghan reappeared later in the evening to meet with locals at the Kingfisher Bay jetty.

"This visit is particularly nostalgic for us as a young married couple", Harry said.

Earlier today, they were pictured leaving Queensland's Fraser Island, arriving at Hervey Bay marina en route to Hervey Bay airport.

Despite the presence of Zika virus in the country, Prince Harry and Meghan have made no changes to their Fiji schedule.

Her earrings were a gift from the Queen and the bracelet was given by the Prince of Wales.

London tourist Nichelle Coleman joined the crowd along the marina walkway with daughters Ella, 11, and Livvy, 5.

Inside the market, stallholders and members of the public appeared calm and orderly and there did not appear to be any obvious security risk or problems with the crowds. According to US Weekly, the couple was rumored to be making stops in New York, California, and Washington, D.C during their visit. "It is a symbiotic relationship, and one that so many people still fail to realise".

In a personal nod to the Duke's grandparents, the couple were guests of honour of a special red carpet welcome ceremony, which a Kensington Palace spokesman said "embodied Fijian cultural identity and heritage" and mirrored a similar 1953 visit attended by the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Rain began to fall again as the lovo, a presentation of a roast pig, and a basket of dalo, a root vegetable like a potato, was offered to the duke.

"You've been living with this for many years, way before the world started talking about it".

Meghan wore a pink floral wrap dress with a pompom trim, and flowers in her hair, while Harry sported a blue Hawaiian shirt. Guests, including politicians, diplomats, local business leaders and the cream of Fijian society, gathered for a champagne reception ahead of the dinner.

He said he was sure she would be "proud of the man" Harry had become and that he had found happiness and love with Meghan.

The duchess announced two grants for the Fiji National University and the University of the South Pacific, allowing each of them to run workshops to empower their female staff.
