Golden Tate confirms Lions dealt him to Eagles

Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports the team shipped a 2019 third-round draft pick to the Lions for Tate.

Immediately after the trade to Philly was announced, Tate took to twitter with a Rocky gif and a message for both his former and current cities: "It's been real DETROIT!"

The Philadelphia Eagles have upgraded at the wide receiver position ahead of the NFL's trade deadline as they acquired Detroit Lions wide receiver Golden Tate. "Philly Philly let's get it!"

1,000 - Tate has topped 1,000 yards receiving the last two seasons in a row prior to entering the 2018 season.

Yards after the catch since 2016, most in the National Football League, and a sign that despite being 30-years old he isn't showing any signs of slowing down.

Tate, 30, spent several seasons with the Seattle Seahawks before signing with the Lions. Eight of his receptions have gone for 20-plus yards.

The defending Super Bowl champions Eagles are 4-4 and have a bye this week.

In seven games this season, Tate has caught 44 passes for 517 yards and three touchdowns.
