In the Seahawks' convincing Week 8 victory over the Lions, Russell Wilson had a "perfect" game in which he averaged over 14 yards per attempt.

The Seahawks have reached the midway point of a season that started with a two-week dip into the nether regions of the National Football League standings, rebounded with four wins in the span of five games, and now has been cast into doubt following a loss to the Chargers. Wilson scrambled for 16 yards to the Chargers 28 and, after a spike, Seattle had 30 seconds left. With Mile Davis and Reshaad Penny backing up Carson, Seattle should be able to establish their now infamous running game while the Chargers have Austin Ekeler who is elusive but works best as a third down, change of pace back and will leave Los Angeles more limited in their play calling if Gordon can't go.

One of the biggest missed opportunities happened at the start of the second quarter on Seattle's second drive.

Minutes later, trailing by a touchdown, Jarran Reed dropped Rivers for a 10-yard loss to force a late punt, and give Seattle a chance to tie in the final two minutes. "I thought it was dominating, outside the points we missed, but pretty great". Melvin Gordon has been dealing with a hamstring injury for the past two weeks since the team played in London and then entered their bye in hopes of getting healthy but that has proven not to be the case. Carson had just eight carries, leaving Mike Davis as the primary back. Seattle played the second half without starting strong safety Bradley McDougald due to a knee injury.

NOTES: Carroll said G D.J. Fluker (calf) appeared to be OK. Wright were excellent. And for some parts of the game, they were.

"We love the spirit that he stood for", Carroll said.

Seattle also had logos added to the field reading "PGA" similar to the patches the team had added to its uniforms.

Sturgis made 9 of 13 field goal attempts and 9 of 15 PATs in six games this season.

Chargers: Travel to Oakland to face the Raiders.
