AkzoNobel, a global leader in making paints and coatings, will bring a modern twist to McLaren's heritage papaya colour at the Abu Dhabi Formula One Grand Prix 2018.

He met ex-Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone as well as a number of race fans and businessmen.

Although Lewis Hamilton wrapped up the drivers' championship at the Mexican Grand Prix before helping his team Mercedes complete the double in Brazil, there is still much to play for in terms of constructors' points for the chasing pack behind - certainly when millions in prize money is still at stake.

Fortunately, Hulkenberg emerged unscathed from the wreck, which occurred just moments after the chequered flag at the final Formula 1 race of the season. The drivers will provide a fitting guard of honour as Alonso heads to the grid for one last time.

Having seen off Sebastian Vettel in the past two years, Hamilton is not daunted by the prospect of Verstappen joining the party next season.

"We were going to issue a press release but I accidentally let it all out", Wolff said.

"I thought it would be tight but I really wanted to start on that tyre so that why I was able and happy to take that risk".

Grosjean has a reputation as one of F1's more reckless - or adventurous - drivers.

"Regardless of what happens this weekend, it's a good opportunity to reflect on our second half of the season. I don't feel like I miss another driver but the sport will miss him". There's been a bit of bad luck, a few driver errors and some areas where we need to improve as a team.

"I'm honoured to enter this competition which my father always loved and in which he set the bar very high together with Sebastian", Mick said.

"I doubt I would ever get a shot at a Formula One auto but there are plenty of other cool cars to drive". That resulted in three torturous years of struggling at the back for the Spaniard.

Although the FIA remains hopeful that next year's aerodynamic changes will help boost overtaking for 2019, some teams are not convinced. "I imagine he was in the blind spot of Hulkenberg there", said Sky Sports commentator Martin Brundle of the accident.

Australian Daniel Ricciardo was another saying goodbye, to his Red Bull team before moving to Renault, and he finished fourth after leading for a long stint when Hamilton pitted early.
