Erdem was tipped to design Meghan's wedding dress, but in the end the duchess wore a pure white boat neck wedding gown by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy.

"The only pity I reckon with Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, is I feel she is so intelligent and so good at public speaking, she's really strong in areas like girls' education and homelessness, poverty".

Earlier on Monday, during a visit to Canada House, Meghan looked ready for St Patrick's Day in a forest green coat with black embroidered accents.

Commonwealth Day is traditionally marked by a service which the duke and duchess will attend at Westminster Abbey with the Queen, other senior royals and figures from national life.

However, it's uncommon to see members of the immediate family bend and bow to Charles.

Today, Meghan Markle the Duchess of Sussex, celebrated International Women's Day by attending a panel alongside female thought-leaders at King's College London on Friday (March 8) in London, England. She styled the cream-colored midi dress, which retails for $1,850, with a matching coat and a white pillbox hat.

December 25: Harry and Meghan joined the other senior members of the British royal family at a traditional Christmas Day church service at Sandringham, eastern England.

Meghan's accessories at the Commonwealth event included a black Givenchy satin clutch.

The stereotypical British interaction makes it clear that Meghan has become accustomed to the popular topic of conversation, or perhaps the mother-to-be is hinting that her time filming Suits in Toronto for six years allowed her to adapt to the British ice-breaker. Earlier, they attended a Commonwealth Day youth event at Canada House in London, where they met with young Canadians excelling in everything from fashion to business in an effort to showcase and celebrate the diverse community of young Canadians living in the United Kingdom.
