Gobena Monday told the media the airline had grounded all its Boeing 737 Max 8 out of caution as investigations into the fatal crash continue. Air Canada has taken delivery of 23 of the 737 Max planes, according to Boeing.

In a joint press statement, Kenya's Transport Cabinet Secretary James Macharia and Ethiopian Airlines' Kenya country manager Yilma Goshu said that the government has reached out to the families of 25 of the 32 Kenyans who perished in the Sunday morning crash. The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Boeing and US airlines, however, maintain that the 737 Max is safe to fly.

The black boxes from the crash have been recovered and an airline spokesman said they would be sent to Germany for analysis.

U.S. officials say the aircraft are still safe to fly.

"Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT", Trump tweeted, lamenting that product developers always sought to go an unnecessary step further when "old and simpler" was superior.

"The plane was swinging widely with smoke coming from its rear end just before it crashed".

"I do not know about you, but I do not want Albert Einstein to be my pilot". A focus there is the role of a software system created to push the plane down, alongside airline training and fix standards.
