Avengers Endgame trailer: Tony Stark is back on Earth

"Avengers: Endgame" opens in theaters nationwide April 26.

Endgame finds such leftovers as Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Captain America (Chris Evans) recovering from the loss of their friends, and struggling with the future of their supergroup.

We were expecting the second trailer to drop soon after Captain Marvel, but we didn't realize how quietly Marvel would release it on YouTube.

When we last saw the Avengers, they were on Wakanda fighting Thanos, and many of their allies had been snapped into dust.

After "I like her", the three most important words in the new Endgame trailer are "whatever it takes". The first flashback takes us back to Iron Man when Tony escaped the cave in his first suit and became Iron Man and told Pepper Potts he loved her.

In the clip, Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) rejoins the rest of the Avengers after his last appearance in 2016's "Captain America: Civil War" sporting an edgy mohawk that's sparked plenty of jokes and memes. That, and taking the "starting over" bit into consideration, it appears that Avengers: Endgame hints at time-travel to undo Thanos' destruction.

The trailer stinger shows Thor meeting Carol Danvers, who was shown arriving on Earth at the end of Captain Marvel.

"Even if there's a small chance, we owe this to everyone who's not in this room to try,"she agrees". Interestingly, in this moment the whole team seems to be in a matching grey and burgundy uniform: we don't think we've ever seen the Avengers dressed in unison? 'I like this one, ' Thor says, indicating the beginning of a fun new relationship. She could also be leading a charge against Thanos with some of the characters who aren't off, possibly, in the Quantum Realm. We see this in Avengers: Infinity War when Star-Lord goes to shoot Gamora and his blast turns into bubbles - all thanks to the Reality Stone. We don't see that white armor here on this new poster, but the latest footage shows it off in all its glory.
