Bethesda this week is celebrating 25th anniversary of its popular Elder Scrolls game series.

For players already committed to ESO, the Elsweyr Prologue-in which "you can discover the true goal of the Wrathstone" and "unleash Dragons upon the unsuspecting Khajiit of Elsweyr"-goes live later today".

You can actually redeem the game without having to download the Bethesda.net launcher, instead tying it to your Beth.net account for later use. Exactly 25 years ago on this day, the developer launched The Elder Scrolls: Arena, the first entry in a RPG series that will eventually include beloved titles like Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind. Head down to the comments section and let us know! To play it, download the download the Bethesda launcher. Anyone who has played the likes of Fallout or The Witcher owes a little something to this game and it's well worth checking out despite the dated graphics. If you're suitably convinced after you've tried it out, both The Elder Scrolls Online base game and The Elder Scrolls Online: Summerset will be discounted until April 9 and April 2 respectively. To get a free copy simply type the code TES25TH-MORROWIND into a myriad of redemption portals. It was also the first Elder Scrolls game to make the leap to console on the original Xbox. To kick things off, the video game company is offering a free copy of Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. There's also a couple of other promotions for the Elder Scrolls Online and Elder Scrolls Legends, which you can check out right here! A The Elder Scrolls Online free play week will begin on March 28, 2019.
