LeBron James and other stars were in the crowd for Dwyane Wade's final National Basketball Association game on Wednesday.

It ended with the ultimate tribute to the completeness of Wade's game, a triple-double completed before the start of the fourth quarter, the fifth triple-double of Wade's 16-season career and first since February 2011 - 25 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists.

Chris Paul and LeBron James applaud during a ceremony at an NBA basketball game between the Brooklyn Nets and the Miami Heat, Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in NY. Wade scored 30 points in his first start of the season in a 122-99 rout of the Philadelphia 76ers, exited to a standing ovation in the final minute and exchanged jerseys with Jimmy Butler. There were tribute videos, tears, hugs and a scathing chant directed at Paul Pierce, but he still had one more game to play on the road.

"To be honest, it is a big moment for us and a big moment for the organization, from where we've come from in the last couple of years, the improvement that we've had individually and collectively", Nets guard Joe Harris said at practice Tuesday. It's a fun and touching tradition, because Wade doesn't just get souvenirs from his fellow players, he also gives a part of himself to them. Miami was eliminated from contention for it despite its victory Tuesday.

To Heat coach Erik Spoelstra, Wade's "One Last Dance" season proved inspirational. Anthony, who helped persuade Wade to return this season, didn't play long this season before parting ways with Houston.

The Nets are now slated for a first-round matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers, but that could change based on what happens in their game tonight, and Orlando's game.
