Attention Before Intention Brings Mastery of Manifestation

“Our intention creates our reality.”

-Wayne Dyer

Attention to Intention

We talk often of our ability or inability to manifest something into being. Hell, it’s the new hip thing to be conscious & awakened. Well, few of us realize however, that our attention is where everything begins.

Most of us think, well if I  wish it true then it will happen. Not quite. To a point this may be correct, but mere wishing will not actually force it to become. Our attention to our intention is what truly sets the stage for mastering manifestation. The Universe knows the difference, but do you?

In order to understand how this works, we must first understand the individual meanings of the words before we put them into context. So, here goes:

  1. notice taken of someone or something; the regarding of someone or something as interesting or important.

“he drew attention to three spelling mistakes”

  2. 2.

the action of dealing with or taking special care of someone or something.

    “the business needed her attention”

When we pay attention to something, we are making a conscious effort to notice something. In this case, we are talking about attention to our inner-self and the results we wish to achieve. We call our attention inward and consummately fixate it on that which we want the most. Without it, we may as well wish upon a star or blow out our birthday candles in haste before the wax melts into the frosting.

It is only now, with our attention turned towards that in which we desire the greatest, that we are able to form the next step of our manifestation destination. It is only with attention that we may create a force strong enough to bring our desires to light.

  • 1.

a thing intended; an aim or plan.

“she was full of good intentions”

  • 2.

the healing process of a wound

OK, look what it says there, Merriam & Webster knew it too. A thing intended (Thanks guys, lol!) An aim or plan. Notice it didn’t say want nor wish?

To intend to do anything, we must be first paying attention. That inward focus towards our truest of desires. Our intention is fueled by and molded by our attention to what we truly thirst for in our lives. This is no ordinary schoolboy crush or covetous goal. A goal is some far off distant thing to be obtained. An intention is a concentrated statement to all the Universe, that this above all else, we want.

Intentions are no small matter you see, because intentions are the difference between coincidence and circumstance. If we harm someone without malice, it may be construed as an accident. However, when we intentionally cause a reaction, there is no accident nor coincidence. We meant for the actions to happen.

This is when the real magic can begin. Once we have attended to our inner desires, and formed an intent to create a new reality, then can we manifest something magnificent and pure.

Manifestation Station:

Once we’ve formed a clear & defined stream of consciousness and put our true energy behind it, now we’re truly prepared to manifest something. Manifesting things into our reality is predominantly a matter of our attention to our intention to be certain our manifestation is of a conscious & pure nature. Setting our intent and then taking the appropriate course of action, enables the Universe to bring us abundance.

If you put attention on anger, anger will manifest. If you put attention on lust, lust will manifest. Focus on love, and love manifests. Focus on imperfection, imperfection manifests.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar; From his article Intention, Attention and Manifestation

Our Intention is the difference between  malicious and ignorant and benevolent. Without intention, life is haphazard & careless, even reckless. Yet, with a dash of mindful intent, the gray areas wash away and a clearer picture can be seen.

Attention before intention brings mastery of manifestation. It is of utmost importance when we set out to do anything to have a well thought out plan, a strategy of attack to meet our ultimate goal. This is true of anything in life. It is, if you will, a recipe from the Universal Cookbook of Life.

  1. “If you put attention on anger, anger will manifest. If you put attention on lust, lust will manifest. Focus on love, and love manifests. Focus on imperfection, imperfection manifests.” I love that. The power of the universe is truly incredible
